Hey hey, we're CALVIN PARTY .... long-time John Peel favourites .... our last album GODARD'S GIRLFRIEND came out April 2008 on Liverpool's Probe Plus label .... that was our fourth full-length recording, following 2004's NEVER AS BLACK and previous releases LIES LIES & GOVERNMENT and LIFE & OTHER SEX TRAGEDIES ....
NORTHERN SONG from NEVER AS BLACK made it into John Peel's Festive Fifty in 2004, as did LIES LIES & GOVERNMENT some years previously ....
We've been playing live regularly since the release of GODARD'S GIRLFRIEND including support slots with the Wedding Present, The Fall and label-mates Half Man Half Biscuit .. in Manchester .. Nottingham .. Sheffield .. Liverpool .. London .. the Rocket Festival in Grenada .. several dates in Holland and Germany .. and also some great little venues in Bacup, Darwen and Runcorn ..
In December 2008 we released the 8 DAYS ep on Eli Records - 2 new studio recordings + 3 live tracks - it's available on CD and download from all the usual outlets and here on myspace ....
May-09 - we've nearly finished recording our new album COME BLEED, next month we're playing some shows in Holland .... keep checking the gig list, we'll be putting more shows together for Sept/Oct ....
