It all started in the summer of 2006, when we decided to get together and try to work out some traditional calypsoes from Trinidad along with a touch of Delta blues and slide guitar. After we had 4 or 5 songs prepared we took them to a tiny stage in an equally tiny bar called Red’s. A couple of dozen people had shown up, which actually packed the venue to capacity and we then proceded to play very badly. Lyrics were forgotten and rythyms were missed yet the crowd gave a hearty and seemingly genuine applause and in all honesty, we loved it! Thats the thing about calypso music, you aren’t really supposed to do it all by the book. There should always be room for improv and exploration.
From there we’ve gone on to play numerous venues in the south east and we play alot more confidently nowadays! You may be wondering why it’s taken us 2 years to put a myspace page up...well we just have to blame that on keeping true to the laid back Tridadian lifestyle, even though we’ve never actually been to Trinidad. Like alot of people in this day and age, we cant afford to go right now so instead we try to bring a bit of Trinidad to anywhere that might enjoy it as much as we do.

It looks good! It'd be great if in the near future you create an ongoing blog, listing your useless facts for those that are too lame/disloyal/busy/far away to attend your gigs. Think it might be appreciated :D keep up the good work! x
