CAMARADAS EL BARRIO is a worker's public house where camaraderie is built atop a fine selection of wine, fabulous beer from around the world, excellent music & an innovative blend of tapas tradition and Puerto Rican cuisine.

Designed by Daniel Gonzales + owners Raul Rivera, Orlando Plaza & Jay Zhao, this unique space reflects an industrial and rustic feel in its wood/metal decor. True to their working-class roots, CAMARADAS celebrates the spirit of the unsung hero; factory workers & laborers whose work ethic, sweat and ability make NYC one of the leading industrial/financial centers in the world. This legacy of our hard-working parents/grandparents has become the bright star that shines on our humble establishment.

Led by a creative and innovative kitchen staff, CAMARADAS has gained instant fame in Upper Manhattan by redefining & reinventing traditional Latino dishes (specifically Puerto-Rican) into a blissful Nuevo Cuisine. The "entremeses" include alcapurrias, a tasty mofongo, an array of salads, skewed satay chicken and shrimp, spicy calamari, our own "Barrio Burger", "Jibaro Sandwich", chocolate empanadas + many other mouth-watering delights.
