Get this! My album’s almost done, but wanted 2 squeeze 1 more song in. I’ll admit, I’m a Madonna junkie (LOL) since I was 3. She inspired me, I wanted to emulate her talents as a child. I also have called myself “The Next Madonna”. That might need to go in the trash. So a friend introduces me to this private/un-known CD with songs that were never released from her 80’s era, the era that everybody fell in love with Madonna. I hear this song “Crimes Of Passion”, and I said “Oh my god, I have to record this to have this sound on my album that was apart of my life.” Her producer who had a falling out with her was willing to sell me the tracks so I could make an album version 4 me. So I do the right thing (Which was really the stupid thing to do). Her publishing was never put through, meaning I could have released it and she would have been at loss. I wanted to get her publishing of the song into the systems, get her permission as I suspected she’d be touched, and introduce my thank you to her. I demoed the track as a duet with me and her, and it came out like a dream to me. This woman who now is really named Esther hears my song, and is obviously mortified. She has her attorneys send me a letter saying that she does not want this song to happen, she is not approving me to release or record the song, and if I proceed, she will sue. The richest world in the woman behaves this way to an independent artist who’s done something from the heart. All in all, Fuck her!!!!! Someone could have the whole world at their fingers, and never give back. Hmmm, is she jealous because she’s threatened? Who knows? I’m glad I got to see her real colors. I like her as an artist only now, not as a personn. In retaliation, well if I can’t release it, I’ll just give it away for free……he he he. My father always said, “If it ain’t free, it isn’t for me.” Here’s a track that will not be on the album. Only a demo will suffice.
