Those were only a few of the many comments on sixteen year old Singer/Songwriter/Actress/Model/Dancer Camille Abordo, Who began singing at the age of 7. She stumbled upon what has now become her passion when she performed at her first grade talent show and her teacher Mr. Bradshaw ran up to her on the stage, bowed down to her, and took all the credit for her singing talents. It was quite a funny sight. She then began studying voice, dance and acting with many of the greats in LA. She has made several television appearances and is seen in several National commercials. In 2006, she began singing the nation anthem for the Los Angeles Angels and has since become a regular there.
In January 2007, Camille auditioned for NBC’s Showtime at the Apollo in Los Angeles and was immediately invited to perform on the show as their “Star of Tomorrow” which aired nationwide in early 2007. Camille also did a commercial for the Gameshow Network and her picture was used as the book cover to the National Vocabulary Championship book online. At the age of 12, Camille recorded her first 3 original self written songs - Bye Bye, Make It Okay, and Not that Kinda Girl. Camille was also on a full page layout on the April 2007 Issue of Inland Empire Magazine.
In 2008, Camille continued with her passion of both writing and singing and recorded her newest songs Lyin' and Freeze-Go and Let it Go. Camille has Recieved HONORABLE MENTION for her song Bye Bye in a National Songwriting Competitions.
Though she came from the average home, she says her dreams have always been EPIC in size, and her plan is to become the next big thing, to show others that "ALL DREAMS CAN BE ACHIEVED IF YOU WORK HARD AND PLAY YOUR CARDS RIGHT".
Camille is currently pursuing her dreams in her NEW SUPER GROUP: NMD (No More Drama) managed by Howie Dorrough of the Backstreet Boys, with other members such as Ariel Moore (Previously of the clique girlz), Kimberly Rose, Alissa Mae (previously of the G-girls), and Ahliyah Flowers. All of which are different nationalities, and experienced triple threat Artists. NMD is currently recording their first Album, and you will DEFINATELY be hearing more of them soon!
