We broke up in 2005. Drew now plays in ..Ring, Cicada.. Steve now plays in ..Names and Titles.. Billy and Matt used to play in ..Fly Everywhere.. Billy also used to play in ..The Guns of Navarone.. Matt also used to play in ..Step Softly, Ghost.. and ..Back of Dave.. Camp Climax for Girls are still part of ..Bob Wadlow..'s posse ..CLICK HERE TO BUY OUR CD, "TEN DOLLAR BIRDS"!!.. .. .. .. .. .. ..Man, I'm a procrastinator. I've been putting off writing a bio for Camp Climax for Girls now for a month...ok maybe it's been several months. But i promised to have this into them by Thursday, and here I am cursing them on a cold and dreary Wednesday night...ok, it's Thursday morning. I've had excuses and they've heard them all. My real excuse is that it's real hard to give you an idea of what CCFG is like if you've never seen them. I'd rather not say much more than they rock in a profound way. But in the interest of a thorough introduction, let me use the following metaphors. Heavy like a punch in the arm and you ask for one more. Inspired like the view of an ocean. Guitars like swords. 2005 like 1977..... The blues were never meant to be fucked with so hard..... The hilariously named Camp Climax for Girls are comprised of four young men from Alton, Illinois who place alms at the temple of Rock. Formed by free wheelin Billy Wallace, fractured enthusiast Steve Ricks, and velvet suit wearin' bassist Drew Mader as an outlet for their heavy classic rock leanings. The early Camp Climax forged a primitive progressive sound in their early songs that formed the core of what was to become. With the addition of drummer, Fats Eberlin, the band began to express their potential and soon integrated a fuller spectrum of hard rock and punk influences. The resulting stew brought them critical praise, cross country tours, and a legion of fans. Rockers unite! Fans of heavy classic rock and math rock will join hands and sing as one. The native-born Jamaican Marvin Anthony Burnett aka Sledgy was born in St. James at September, 27th in 1973.
At the age of sixteen he came with his brother to Germany to stay with his mother and live a better life. Shortly afterwards young Anthony got down with rapping.
To do music brings a lot of joy to him. Music is a great pleasure for Sledgy; he feels committed to make music.

It helped him through his hard time after his entry into Germany which was totally foreign to him at that time.
After he had rapped a long time for himself to take his mind off his worries, Burnett signed a contract with the label Power Jam Records.
With conclusion of the treaty his music career begins.

Under the name of Marvin Burnett he performs onstage (YOU) two times and at Funworld, Bodensee. Furthermore his music appeared on Radio K?ln and Radio 7.
For two years he has been under contract to Power Jam Records which is known as GUMAK Media e.K. today.

The Jamaican Burnett is also charitable. He gave many benefit performances, among others at K?lner Zoo, in a retirement home and not least at town hall in Cologne- Kalk.

If you would like more submissions from NOSR please state so in a conformation email and we would be happy to continue send you additional music.

    Thanking in in advance
