Southwest Entertainment is a small production company located in Southern California home of Blazintrails band which features Anthony on guitars and vocals. Anthony Romero, a talented and discriminating vocalist/guitarist/singersongwriter/saxophonist and flutist who's career began as a woodwind and percussion instrumentalist with touring bands in the 80s has released his first cd and with it has captured the old west's country/bluegrass traditions. The music is bluegrass/country with a flare for jazz and blues. This quartet features John Hesterman on bass guitar, Lennie Mallack on harmonicas and Dan Sanke on fiddle and mandolin. Ballad of John Henry is the title of the first cd which features bluegrass instrumentation along with fine vocals and catchy hooks and connects with songs rooted in the tradition and sound of the old west. The tunes settle well in the ear of the discriminating listener who appreciates American standards and traditional music with swing.
