Now that the Shield is over (the best television show of the past 5 years), I think I might feel strongly about this show called the Office.
Books
Outside the Bible, I read a ton of comics and anything written by Joe Lansdale. Cold in July, Mucho Mojo, Savage Season, the Bottoms, Sunset + Sawdust, Revelations, Writer of the Purple Rage and the series that sold me on him, Drive In parts 1,2 + 3.
Heroes
My dad, the Installer. Installer of what, you may ask? The Installer of Pain.
Malcolm Reynolds You're the captain, and there's no doubt you're in charge. You do your best to keep your crew together and your ship flying, sometimes it seems like no job is too big, too small, or too illegal. You care deeply for those around you, but you do you best to hide your feelings. Why do you want everyone to think you're such a mean old man?
Who I'd like to meet: Uh...Jesus. Okay, that's the one. However, there are others I would love to meet. Here they are in no particular order. Edward Norton, Panthro, Michael Chiklis, George Romero, Chase Richards, Joe Lansdale (world's best author), Blindside, Adam West, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale (that's right, no Val Kilmer or George Clooney), Ricky Gervais, Martin Feeman, Mackenzie Crook, Lucy Davis, Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Kim Gorby, Jenna Fischer and your mom.

I got engaged last night, and I couldn't help thinking of you. You married me the first time around, but couldn't make it to the reception because of a family emergency. I wish I could at least ask you to do it again. I know you're with Our Lord..and I know I'll see you again. God bless you and your family this Christmas.
...was going thru my gear bag today and saw the arm band we all wore during your tribute show. Man, just a million things came flashing back at me...I really do pray that peace is upon you.

A friend of mine, Nate Ivey, joined you up there a few weeks ago. Please take good care of him & keep him out of trouble. I remember how you were like a father to everyone you met.
ITS KEEPING ME ON THE PATH OF CHRIST, even when it gets tough, I look at the bracelet and thing about all you taught me about Christ!! and I will never forget it!!
I really miss you Steve. I watched The Shield with Jason on Tuesday night (even though that show makes me scared) and I thought about you the whole time. Things will never be the same.

So, it's 2:39 in the morning and I sit here and realize that I am really missing you. There have been alot of times in the last few months that I needed to talk, and it hurt that you were not there. I can still talk to you, but it is just not the same when you don't talk back. Thanks for being a friend when I really needed one. You are the best, Mel
So I'm finally at Bibe college. I'm learning a TON of stuff and how to defend our faith. Man, school is fun . . . until my homework needs to be done. Oh! And I found out from Chris that Shepherd Book is not his real name! He used to be an Agent and Book was the name of the shepherd he killed! WOW! Ron Glass had to ask Joss Whedon's permission before he told people. Pretty aweet. I wouldn't mind seeing a "Shepherd Book" novel or something.
