4th Year Anniversary of the Invasion of Iraq
On March 17, 2007, people of Sacramento gathered to protest the Bush Administration and the Iraq War, marking the 4th anniversary of the US led invasion. (08:20)
Campus Progressive Alliance began in the spring of 2006, as momentum built amongst Sac. State students to change the world we live in.
The Campus Progressive Alliance seeks to use activism and education to promote social awareness amongst students at the CSUS campus. We organize and create rallies, spectacles and protests aimed to bring attention to many social injustices at hand. We also participate in events within Sacramento, the bay area and the East Coast.
Our goal is to build a multi-racial, multi-issue coalition of Sac. State students committed to economic justice, equality for all regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation, peace and global solidarity, humanitarian service and making positive changes on our campus and in our community.
Every member can make a difference whether you join us to become more aware, gather with other progressives, help with small or large projects or travel to cross country events; together we can create the world we desire.

Please send in support letters for Dr. Elvia Ramirez for the position of Interim Director for the Multi-Cultural Center at Sacramento State. She is the candidate that C-COLORS sees to be the most supportive of students. In her open forum she seemed to be the candidate who stood more for the students and willing to stand up against adminstration. She sees the center to be a catalyst for social justice, which was the original intent of the center. E-mail your letters to Ed Jones, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs to jonese@saclink.csus.edu
Make sure to CC Al Stripland from EOP. He is the chair of the Multi-Cultural Center advisory committee.
