About me:
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Campus Progressive Alliance began in the spring of 2006, as momentum built amongst Sac. State students to change the world we live in.

The Campus Progressive Alliance seeks to use activism and education to promote social awareness amongst students at the CSUS campus. We organize and create rallies, spectacles and protests aimed to bring attention to many social injustices at hand. We also participate in events within Sacramento, the bay area and the East Coast.

Our goal is to build a multi-racial, multi-issue coalition of Sac. State students committed to economic justice, equality for all regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation, peace and global solidarity, humanitarian service and making positive changes on our campus and in our community.

Every member can make a difference whether you join us to become more aware, gather with other progressives, help with small or large projects or travel to cross country events; together we can create the world we desire.

We Need to Have A Meeting Tomarrow to Work on how to Get Bussniesses to Donate. I Just had a conversation with the New Director Of the Multi-cultural center which was useful, I also set up a meeting with Carlos at 3pm. The DOC deadline is April 7th. I also got an encouraging message from the Sac food co-op, We need to work together to create a program of the event and draft a proposal for the bussniesses.

We've now had 5 years of lies about 9/11, WMD's, and freedom. The real reasons were oil, profiteering, and fascism. Not just Bush, but the news media, most of congress, and all who remain silent. And now they'll use fear to quash dissent. It's nothing new -- it's been going on for ages. War, poverty, ecocide, arrogant bullying --they're all from greed and fear, which come from ignorance. ♥ But it's not too late -- we can still learn to make peace. Talk with people. Love, Eric

HONESTY about the occupation, the economy, and healthcare. Please vote for Dennis Kucinich in the MySpace primaries, at impact.myspace.com, Jan 1-2, and ask your friends to do likewise. (Also, support Dennis's push to impeach, at Wexler.Wants.Hearings.com.)

Jul 18 2007 4:34 PM

Please send in support letters for Dr. Elvia Ramirez for the position of Interim Director for the Multi-Cultural Center at Sacramento State. She is the candidate that C-COLORS sees to be the most supportive of students. In her open forum she seemed to be the candidate who stood more for the students and willing to stand up against adminstration. She sees the center to be a catalyst for social justice, which was the original intent of the center. E-mail your letters to Ed Jones, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs to jonese@saclink.csus.edu

Make sure to CC Al Stripland from EOP. He is the chair of the Multi-Cultural Center advisory committee.

Thanks,

C-COLORS

......Racism to ERacism!!!....

Panel to discuss the dismantling of the Multi-Cultural Center at CSU, Sacramento campus. The racist agenda of the student affairs administration has caused students, faculty, and staff to create a coalition to combat these attitudes toward the Multi-Cultural Center and the efforts of administrators to essentially eliminate the center.

When: April 3, 2007 @ noon-2pm
Where: Summit Room, University Union, CSU Sacramento

Panel will consist of past and present individuals who have worked with or for the Multi-Cultural Center.
