At 14 years old, this aspiring singer/songwriter/guitarist Camry Lauren, was vastly gaining the attention of music enthusiasts throughout Colorado. Today at 17, this beauty with the smoky voice and appealing style has released her debut CD-“World to Know” which is a smart collection of alternative pop with catchy and evocative lyrics. Although this captivating and tenacious teen, has a style all her own, she has often been compared to a cross between Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks. At such a young age, she can flawlessly perform cover music with a genre ranging from 70’s classic rock, country, to today’s popular alternative soft rock.
Over the last couple of years, Camry has heaped up quite a list of performances at several venues in Denver Colorado. She was also selected to perform for an audience of over four thousand people at the 2007 Annual Taste of Colorado Food and Music Festival held, in downtown Denver, In addition, she has been insistently sought after to perform for several other festivals throughout Colorado which included many benefit and charitable events.
Today, Camry, a native of Colorado, has joined a five-man band from Alamosa Colorado. The band performs regularly at a popular home-town college based establishment. By demonstrating their diverse style of classic rock to alternative, they can effortlessly appeal to a crowd of over 200 people on a weekly basis. When asked what makes her unique, she replies: "I come from a small town that doesn't have a lot of resources so I am all self taught; still I continue to improve more & more both vocally and instrumentally. I've discovered that I really am a natural."
When Camry is not performing, she relentlessly spends her time working on her second CD which she hopes to release by 2009. This ambitious young artist also plans to attend college in the fall of 2008.
