Hailing out of Oslo, Norway is a new hip-hop artist that keeps his spit game on point all day every day. Even though Dnyal André’s a new name to most peoples in Norway, he’s not a new name or face to members of the Norwegian hip-hop community.
He had his official debut trough his former group Cam'N A-lee in 2003 (then known as "Cam"), and they were ranked as one of Norway's hip-hop saviors and proven to be extremely influential. They toured all of Norway with over 350 shows and warmed up artists such as Snoop Dogg, The Game, Fat Joe, Talib Kweli, Freeway, Slick Rick, Lloyd Banks, The ReUp-Gang, Slum Village, Masta Ace, Ghostface and The Pharcyde.
After separating from his longtime friend and group-member A-lee, Dnyal André went on a soul-searching journey which led him to an 8 month long stay in Greece where he started to work on his debut mixtape as a solo artist along with some of Greece’s biggest names. This resulted in the tape entitled Reintroducing Cam As Dnyal Andre where he took on a new direction with his music and introduced a more laidback/soulful/jazz inspired sound. He also dropped the soft street single "Late Night Talk" featuring Linda Vincent, which landed him some buzz in England.
After the mixtape success back home, he decided to jump on a plane to Philly (which had shown him a great deal of love trough MySpace and played his tracks on local college radio stations) and ended up staying for 3 months. The stay led him to collaborations with well-known artists such as Freeway, LA Dubb, Malik B (The Roots) and Face Money (Ice City).
After years of working the mixtape circuit and getting his name into the streets, Dnyal André is finally using his swag and skills to release his highly anticipated debut album The Underdog on YL Records. The sky is the limit for this young and very talented artist. From the United States to Norway he will still keep the game alive because that's what he was put here for.
Dnyal have worked with artist/producers such as: USA: Freeway, Malik B (The Roots), Masta Ace, Words Worth, AB-Liva, (ReUp-Gang), LA Dubb, Face Money (Ice City) Grizzly and HecklerHouse. Norway: Karpe Diem, Bankrupt, el Axel, Jessie Jones, Tungtvann, Pumba, Dannyboy, Warlocks, Kristah Rhymes, Linda Vincent and Lopez. Sweden: Ken Ring and Masse (Latin Kings). Greece: El Zeraw, DJ Airth and Soldier. Jamaica: General Shanky.
