Since kicking off back in September of 1999 with newly transplanted local artist Hank Mallery playing with Bill Crumley from Boston, MA on harmonica, CanalWay CoffeeHouse has showcased some of the best talent in Northeast Ohio. Our audience has been treated to the sounds of Hayshaker Jones, The Alan Greene Band, Third Boxcar, The Tabloid Twangers, Blonde Boy Grunt and The Groans, Chuck DeCroix, Scott Teodorski, John Mosey, Steve Madewell, Ben DeReburtis, Bill Tompkins, Crookneck Chandler & The Tibbee Bottom Boys and the list goes on.
Influences
Local Artists! We don't depend on the performers we book to bring us an audience. We've built a reputation of being a great place to see live local music and in doing so have crafted one awsome place for artists and audiences alike to experience one another. You won't play to an empty house here.
Singer/Songwriter Hank Mallery hosts CanalWay CoffeeHouse each month at the areas best live music venue, Cleveland Metroparks CanalWay Center. This is a great non-smoking venue where artists find an audience eager to hear every song. From September to May the concerts are held indoors in the awesome State Boat Landing Room, from June - August the concerts are held outdoors and called CanalWay Sunset Concerts. Bring a lawn chair out to this and the Brookside Lawnchair Concerts also posted on this site and enjoy great music in the great outdoors!
