An afternoon celebration to raise awareness and funds for cancer research and my brother who was recently diagnosed with a very rare cancer. This event is about giving back... come join us...
Cancer effects so many of us these days. I am hopeful that as a community we can rally together to fight for hope and I am hopeful that as a sister I can help my brother. Music is the only way I know to help and I am hopeful you will come enjoy the afternoon at the El Rio with us in support of this great cause.
Performing:
Heather Combs (with special HCB guests!)
Blame Sally
Alden
Rick Hardin
Josh Klipp & Sarah Bush Dance Project
Others TBA
If you can't make it to the event but would like to still donate to the cause you can do so via PayPal (email address cancer.sucks@ymail.com) or by mailing it to PO Box 31125 San Francisco, CA 94131.
Thank you for all your love and support. When we stand together we cannot fail...
Cancer Sucks - Benefit For Hope's Friend Space (Top 11)
I've posted some photos of the Cancer Sucks benefit at the El Rio in my latest photoblog, on my page. It was a fabulous show, Heather! I would be up for helping in future shows, if I can. Bless you for your great work. Nusi xo
Sounds like it is a Convergent Evolutions happening in your community, too! Check out our space and let us know how we can help--medical costs? Convergent Evolutions, creating sustainable healthcare in our community one event at a time! ANANTA
I'm all over it...will be there. Sorry to hear the news...I have two immediate family members who faced aggressive odds against them and have both survived and are cancer free (knock on wood) today. Good luck with the show. I'll spread the word. ~mg
Hey KC. I know this guy named Rob who has an amazing story of getting 3 tumors removed. He had stage 4b throat and neck cancer. He had no possibility of surviving under U.S. treatments because of the bureaucracy and protocol of hospitals here. You should check out his website and direct anyone you know who has cancer to go there and call him.
