Bio
From 8 years of age Casagrande has developed a cutting edge pop sensibility, fueled by her folk roots as a classically trained flautist and prolific poet.
Picking up the guitar at 13, Casagrande spilled her heart into song and art during turbulent teenage years. Casagrande moved on to record and independently release her debut EP Fearless Heart in 2006, and in 2007 became the number one indie/folk artist on mp3.com.
In 2008 Casagrande reached top five finalist in the National Music Oz Awards, paving the way for the release of her first full-length album New Day in 2009.
The first single "Make it a Good One" was an instant hit on local radio stations and went on to claim second place in the prestigious Unisong International Songwriting Contest. Casagrande was held in high esteem at local music industry awards presented by Pete Murray, taking home four titles as Best Pop Artist, Best Devotional Song, Best Female Vocalist and Song of the Year.
Other acclaimed tracks from the album New Day (Australia only) include "Say It Like It Is", where Casagrande was named as a Top 12 finalist in the National Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition from a pool of over 3000 young entrants. Casagrande finished off 2009 by winning Best Music and Lyrics, and third overall winner of the international 100% Music Songwriting Contest with "Behind Closed Doors"; an impacting track highlighting the worldwide issue of human trafficking.
With the aim to reach new heights in her career as a professional pop songwriter and indie/folk recording artist, Casagrande relocated to London in April 2010. After being shortlisted in the Top 8 of the international Shure Songwriting Award, the Australian PPCA Performers Trust Foundation jumped on board to support Casagrande's career development in undertaking Professional Songwriting at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance based in North West London.
Having graduated and performed at renowned venues such as The O2 Arena, The Bedford and Sommerset House in 2011, Candice proves to be moving along an exceptional career path in the music business. This is an artist to watch out for in 2012 and beyond.

After winning over international song writing judges in 2009 and 2010 with a stand out poetic voice, Candice re-located to London to continue writing and has been gigging acoustically throughout 2011. A heartfelt performer with a disarming honesty, this authentic artist is one to watch for 2012 and beyond." Rich Mix (2011) - Hanging Out Project
