Learning and improving upon myself and the world in which we live in.
Hanging out with my great friends, Reading, Martial arts, Weight lifting, Music, Drumming, Singing, Gymnastics, Dancing, Writing (poetry, music, and short stories), Swimming, Climbing, Bicycling (street, mountain, and BMX), Rollerblading, Hiking, Long road trips, Working on cars, Driving, Teaching, Mentoring, Modeling, Cooking, Advancing, Laughing, Thinking, Thinking, Thinking, and more Thinking.
Additionally, I enjoy the following activities: understanding all that I can through the combination of my senses and reason, fixing all that has been deemed 'broken', helping my friends because I care, constantly improving myself via introspection and discipline, focusing, organizing everything that seems out of place - even the occasional mis-placed thoughts and emotions...
I also find joy in thunderstorms (and the smell that precedes the rain), sunsets, stars, candles, incense, meditation, cuddling, beaches, waterfalls, and anything else that involves water and the passion of heart/mind/body.

Good people, and those who don't falter under pressure or temptation are the only ones who will have the strength and will to keep the human race from destroying itself.
I also respect those who are not afraid to be themselves instead of following everyone else just to fit in.

I'm an open book, most people just don't take the time to read the pages. Instead, they quickly look at the pictures and think that's all there is.
Perfection is a matter of perception due to one's point of vantage; therefore, it is possible to be perfect in someone's eyes. However, everyone makes mistakes, whether they are immoral or illogical. Upon realizing those mistakes, or the depth of them, you need to change those actions/thought processes so that you do not repeat the mistake. Change is constant, but changing for the better after realizing a mistake is what makes a "good person". That is why I say "be the change that you wish to see in the world." You could also express that thought by saying "lead by example."
I like to have fun and enjoy life. Making the most out of life will make the most out of us as people. I have always been the type of person that spends a lot of time and effort trying to improve upon what I've been given. I believe in potential and actualizing that potential. It is not what you can do, but realizing that you can usually do more.
People can be shaped as much by their own will as they can by their biological structure and environmental surroundings. Therefore, with a great deal of effort, it can be said that one can overcome anything. That also includes many parts of one's own nature. Whether it's the good or the bad, people can and will change. However, it is up to you to choose the correct path.
I'm originally from Indiana, out in the middle of nowhere. I had a relatively good childhood and was a quiet kid up until just before I became a teenager, then I began to emerge from my shell. I was a hard person to control, but that is because of my independent nature. I did a lot of stupid things and learned a great deal of lessons. After years of practice and hard work, I'm now the well-rounded person I am today. Just after high school, I went into the army as an electrical technician and repaired a variety of different electronics. I spent four years in the army, including a year in Iraq and got out to go to college. I'm now working on becoming a Radiologic Technologist (and eventually a radiologist). Additionally, I'm completing an Associate of Science degree. Being a full time student, training regularly, dissolving the ignorance of those who care to listen, uniting people for the common good of the human race, modeling, and working part-time makes for a busy life. I enjoy leading my busy life and being a responsible man.
Many people have mentioned over the years that it is possible to be too kind. Frankly, there is no such thing. Rather, we have been made to believe such a thing via the existence of poor moral standards. I believe in kindness, caring, consideration, compassion, and freedom of choice. What about you? ^_^
Life is a balancing game
Sides and scales to measure
Nothing stays the same
Happiness, pain, or pleasure
Know that time is only an illusion
That creates past, present, and future
Growing and learning, a parable fusion
Stability holding us together like a suture
Wisdom will come with time and experience
Along with effort and an open mind
Knowledge can close the door to ignorance
And release us from the chains that bind
Who I'd like to meet: Good people who are kind and open minded to all the differences that exist in people. Do what you do, but don't hurt anyone in the process.
I would also like to meet creative people. It seems as though a lot of my good friends are artistic in some form or another, musically or otherwise. Most of my friends are also what I would consider to be "Alternative." When you think of the mainstream, they are certainly not that. I think that is largely because they don't tend to follow what is popular in order to fit in. They just do what they do, like I do.
Most of my time is taken up by school, training, and reading, so I don't have much of a social life. I'm a strange mix of intro/extro-vert and keep only a few close friends. I spend time with those friends as often as possible because they are great people.
Hey! How's it going? I do not think I will have to kick anybody in the face... I may have to throw something ;)... There's just huge holes in the duct things so we were heating the crawlspace more than the house!
Two years of barely any dancing? *cringes and hides* That sounds like no fun... But worth it in the end, I know! You just gotta find enough fun to sprinkle in amongst the busyschedule-responsibilities, whether it be dancing or not! ^_^
Things are good on this side of the screen, my friend! Been out of town for most of the last two weeks, so now it is back to business and back to that whole Responsibility thing. *sad sighs*
yeah its been going great. i just got my tags and insurence for my car so that has made my whole summer. i talked with the girl i liked and i told her that we should just be friends cuz she wasnt sure what she wanted so i feel alittle better about that. how have u been man? i hope ur classes have been going well.
things are just very hard. very very very hard. but im surviving and i have money coming in. that right now is all im letting matter. just taking things one day at a time. how about you?? i miss you!!!!!!!
so i just saw your comment about the aloe vera juice stuff and i cant remember why i was suppose to get it! it was about the same time i found out about my food allergies. who knows!!
Other fun things? Dancing around bonfires. Playing with hoola hoops and learning cool tricks. Masquerades and creating crazy costumes, turning into post apocalypse warriors and junglething satyrs, and a bellydance gypsygirl. Getting to know my family again. Writing dreams. Planting gardens. Planning tattooes and piercings. Fighting on battlefields with my bow and my friends. A million silly little fun things that I am learning and making and experiencing. How about you? What kinds of fun/exciting things have you been up to? ^_^
Three degrees? *jaw drops* I am very much impressed. I don't blame you though... I would love to go back and take more classes. Learning is fun for me too. But I don't think I would have the dedication to do all three (or even two) degrees at once. Mad props to you, sir! You seem to be quite in your element - at least, you sound like you are doing exactly what you want to be doing! *hugs* I hope things continue to go well for you too!
There are so many options, it's a bit overwhelming sometimes. But in the best of ways. Right now, I'm trying to start my own freelance writing business. It's actually pretty fun! But I'm starting to get some intense wanderlust, so it might be time to travel for a bit... How is school going for you? How much longer do you have until you're officially done? Don't worry - when you are finished, it feels JUST as amazing as you imagine it will. ^_^
*hugs* Things are fantastic on my end! Going through that whole, "What do I want out of life" thing now that I'm done with school. So that's been pretty fun! How are things on your side of the screen?
