About me:
AUDITION NOTICE - Drama & Dance
SPEAK [NOT] TO ME OF LOVE
Candlelight Productions is a Melbourne (VIC) theatre company. We're soon to stage an exciting original theatre piece and we're holding AUDITIONS next month for our new drama/dance show, Speak [Not] To Me of Love.
Audition dates are scheduled for 10th and 17th May (all day). Auditionees will be required to both dance and major roles will also need to demonstrate good acting ability. You will have a chance to show a pre-prepared dance piece, as well as learn some choreography on the day in a group. Lead role auditionees will also be required to perform a monologue.
Lead roles include:
Mara 30s, plain, nurse, works nights, Adams wife.
Adam 30s, handsome, works in an office, Maras husband.
Celia 20s, attractive, works in Adams office, Adams mistress.
Sam Blind man, close friend of Mara
Ages are malleable and our makeup team will be able to alter performers' ages to a degree.
All other roles allow for a variety of ages, sex, race and body type.
Rehearsals begin early June (twice a week) and will include 2 weekend-long boot camps.
