DJ PONE: In his 14 years of DJing, DJ Pone has found himself spinning on the Wake Up Show, performing in front of tens of thousands while on the 2005 Vans Warped Tour, and battling at the DMC US finals. DJ Pone has expanded his efforts far beyond the DJ realm, scratching on tracks and touring with punk supergroup the Transplants, producing remixes for groups like Public Enemy, co-hosting a radio show with the legendary Billy Jam on radio station KALX, and teaching a new generation of DJs at the Norcal DJ & Music Production Academy - but he still finds time to spin with his original DJ crew, Canned Beats.
DJ NEOGEO: DJ NeoGeo first started spinning in 1991 with another DJ crew before joining Canned Beats later that year. After spinning at a variety of mobile gigs for a decade (school dances, wedding parties, company parties, etc), DJ NeoGeo jumped into the Bay Area club DJ circuit. In 2002, DJ NeoGeo co-founded The Formula to add their own flavor of DJing and entertainment to the SF Bay Area urban party scene: their monthly event, Body Rock, was established in June 2004 and has featured some of the world's best DJs. Representing Canned Beats, The Formula, and AllGood Entertainment, NeoGeo has spun at various parties and events all over the San Francisco Bay Area alongside Rob Swift; some of the Beat Junkies and Triple Threat DJs; Rock of the Boot Camp Clik/Heltah Skeltah; DJ Revolution (Wake Up Show); MC Supernatural; and Dilated Peoples.
DJ MARS D: DJ Mars D, one of the original four founding members of Canned Beats is back from his 9 year hiatus from the DJ world and is currently in the lab working techniques in preparation for his jump back into the scene. He can usually be found at B-Side Records to watch the monthly battles or just to shop. Look for DJ Mars D to to produce mixes for distribution all over the Bay Area and to set up frequent jam sessions for local DJs.
DJ VERGE: DJ Verge has been mixing since 1992, specializing in dance, freestyle, and house music. But with the change of the local "party station" playing less dance and sounding more like a cross between some "music television" cable TV channel and the local "home of the most hip-hop and R&B" radio station, Verge has been populating his playlist with tracks from the local "dance channel" radio station and the thing called the "internet". Expect more mix CDs of this nature in the near future, and a return to the DJ scene.
