About me:
this quote is beautiful (up until "what about 'me'?"):

what about "ME"? i try not to identify with anything as much as possible, including thoughts, as my thoughts are very different than who i actually am. I'm no particular thing, i'm not this or that, it's more like, I AM and that's it. but i often forget this, and i'm no monk by any means, so i try to remind myself through actions such as: playing bass, sitting still and paying attention to the given moment as much as possible. but no matter what action is being performed, it is what's behind each action (call it presence, essence, consciousness, the formless, pure being, inner & outer space (maybe they're the same?), nothingness, emptyness, the unconscious, or no words at all)... whatever that is, is what i'm most interested in. and i believe that all life forms, regardless of their size, ability, rank, etc. exist as equals in that peculiar place--so what's stopping humanity from connecting this "essence" with our "reality" we assume is real--the reality of form? It's possible that the realization of such a connection could cause too much of a threat to our existing hierarchies and structures based on competition..., "oh, we wouldn't want you to know about cooperation would we?"furthermore, the disconnect of the "formless" with "form" could be an illusion, in which both could be one coexisting force!--just a thought....
eckhart tolle, writer of "a new earth", said something along the lines that the purpose of being human is to bring forth consciousness in everything we do, by being present with every action we perform....so that consciousness becomes conscious of itself through us...----not bad!
