About Canvas

Canvas began in fledgling form some 7 years ago in San Francisco, and has resided in Austin for just over 5 years now. The band has been touring the South and Midwest regions incessantly for some time, and has developed one of the most rabid cult followings of any Texas band around with their unique brand of moody, melancholy rock. Recently, Canvas has finished working on it's 3rd full-length album with fellow Austin artist Johnny Goudie as producer. The album, titled "Painting The Roses", is a subtle departure from previous sounds and promises to invite a new sphere of music fans into the already vibrant scene. The song "Daylight Resolution" is actually a little glimpse into the direction of the new record, which is set to be released late Spring.
