Coming out of Rochester in Upstate New York, Canvas Within is the newest project formed by Brett Driscoll and Sweens. As a two-man collaboration Canvas Within has written, recorded and produced all material independently with the help of Rochester's own Dom Ciaccia on drums. All songs have been recorded/produced at Studio 13 - House of Hooligans (aka the home studio.)
If you're lookin to put a tag on style, genre, where we "fit-in", help yourself... we'll leave that up to the music listener. What we can say is that these are our songs of our experiences...if you can connect with them then its a beautiful thing. If not, well....that's the beauty of music and there's more out there for you.

We call our music Postpunkpopfuncountryfunk because we cover a lot of musical ground. Get Smart is our newest addition, and this one is purely Hard Rock. It's a scathing indictment of wealthy people who do nothing to benefit others - and it's as angry as you're likely to ever find us! (But if we motivate one single person to actually DO something, now THAT'S generating good karma!)
