I love art (I mostly sketch and paint, and I love perusing others' works), crafts, music, reading, singing, and dancing. I love exploring history, religion, mythology, and dark lore (vampires, ghosts, werewolves, etc.). I love exploring differences in lifestyle, and exploring my own style, whether that means I "fit in," in my favorite places, or stick out like a sore thumb.
Music Moods are the dictators of my musical interests. I like a little of just about everything, because nearly every genre has something to suit some mood of mine or another. The types of music I listen to least are classical, country, r&b, hip-hop, and rap.
Movies Again, nearly every genre has something to offer for me. When it comes to horror I do stick to psychological thrillers and ghost stories and avoid that blood-and-guts drek. Most slasher films have thin plots and go strictly for shock value, and I find them more gross than scary.
Television My regularly scheduled viewing is pretty much Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, America's Next Top Model, Ghost Hunters (including GH International), and Mad Men. I do enjoy catching certain other shows from time to time, and watching old favorites on DVD, but most weeks I just stick to my regular viewing.
Books
Fantasy (e.g., Lord of the Rings); Horror and Dark Fantasy (Stephen King, The Secret Books of Paradys, The Vampire Chronicles, etc.); Sci-Fi (e.g., the Rowan series); Biographies, particularly of people at psychological extremes (serial criminals, victims of abuse and violent crime, etc.); some other non-fiction, depending on my mood and interests at any given time; poetry; Edgar Allen Poe; William Shakespeare; really anything that can keep my attention. ;p
Heroes Anyone who gives of themselves to protect and/or help others. I happen to be priveleged enough to know a few personally.

About me:
Family is exceedingly important to me, which also leads me to be extremely proud of the part of my heritage that I know.

I have an almost child-like lighter side and an unfortunately well-developed darker side, and I generally wear my heart on my sleeve. People usually see me on the lighter side, see the softer me, but I've been known to switch unpredictably on occasion. I can be soft as satin, or hard as stone; cold as ice, or on fire with passion or rage. I have come through many less-than-pleasant experiences that have shaped my harder, darker side, and it can be difficult to leave that part behind, knowing that what remains is then left vulnerable.

Fortunately, I have also been shaped by some wonderful experiences, the astounding love of a close family, and some amazing friends. My incredibly patient and loving husband, my pet rabbit Daisy, and the aforementioned family and friends are of particular help in keeping me sane. ;) They are largely to credit for my "making it;" they helped me find my strength and my light, and they are each a deep joy in my life.

I love deeply and fiercely. I also love quickly; there are probably those who still consider me simply a friendly acquaintance that I consider a full-fledged friend. There are those I've lost touch with who I still consider close friends. It doesn't matter much to me where I stand with them, I nonetheless love and cherish them, and for the most part I only require respect (which includes trust and love) to maintain a friendship. However, should I find that respect lacking (whether I feel you lack respect for me or I somehow lose respect for you), ties will be cut just as quickly and thoroughly as they were made.
Who I'd like to meet:
All are welcome here who are open-minded and respectful. Anyone who blatantly advertises in my Comments without permission will be deleted, even if I know them personally. This is your warning. I'll also delete you after a more direct and personal warning if I receive what I consider to be offensively inappropriate comments or messages, and they do not cease after said warning. I prefer that you don't add me just to up your friends count, but it's a free country. For my part, I will only request that someone be my friend if I am interested in something they've posted, or if I actually know them personally or via group.

Thanks K. I thought I was making progress in order to test the so-called normal life out but the dreams of work and panic attacks on days off really set it far more solidly that I am not ready to work less than 7 day weeks, for the foreseeable future at least..

Going to be interesting though to say the least

I am always pro safety and it is great to work somewhere that it is important too.

We are talking about 50 hour weeks and even 60 soon enough, looks like my schedule is coming back again hehe

Thanks, it was a great weekend and the main part was to see the ocean again after far too long though the friends would have been nice to have seen as well. I did get to meet with one of my longest friends, this life and others, and more of her family too and that was a true bonus but it was a great weekend even with all the fun things thrown in.

Hope we can all get together in Feb when I drop by to see Susan and the newest addition to their family.

I actually had a slight anxiety attack trying to figure out what to do for the extra hours I would not be working and there are only so many hikes one can do but I think I will take the job with more hours and use those I have off to learn teh Rosetta Stone discs I have, small steps and go from there hehehe.

I am glad you have found much to fill your time, your artistic talents will be put to great use I am sure.

Oh my head just thinking of writing 5 versions but, the story has not only 5 endings but 5 wholly different themes and I am not sue if I should write each from a characters perspective or even if the main character dies or not and what moral to convey through such or whether it will be a rights issue or a public outcry and lynch mob type.

I think it will possibly only be about 25,000 words so I guess I can write a few versions which would likely be about 15,000 words rewritten in each, looks like a fun filled few months ahead hahaha

I found this gerat screensaver program at www.mindworkshop.com/alchemy/alchemy.html and have used it for over 2 years now, keeps updating the current holiday and if I was smart I would set the clock 24 hours ahead and know what to prepare for but that is the Druid way and not the Pagan method hehehe.

I had felt a great deal of energy this week and had eaten fish 3 times already, knew something was coming but was shocked to see what the holiday was and how everything seemed to fall into place so easily with the eclipse and the shadow wave passing overhead as well as the depths passing beneath and around.

Strange how one thing can create a feeling long before knowledge arrives.

I could not believe that ANYWHERE could offer such low wages for a skilled trade, even NM pays about $18 to $22 for the same tasks.

It is hilarious but wow, they must offer onsite living to survive on that amount. Next time I am in OH, I wiLl drop by and say hi though, hopefully catch a Karaoke night.
