Cape Fear Piercing 208 E. 5th St. Greenville,NC (252)758-8282
Cape Fear Piercing offers a relaxing atmosphere, free gift wrapping, years of experience, excellent customer service, top of the line sterilization equipment, and the highest quality of body jewelry available.
Jewelry
We offer hand-carved eco and animal-friendly organic jewelry, implant grade titanium (with a mirror-quality surface finish and internal threading), ornate borosilicate glass jewelry, and a wide variety of jewelry styles, even for your initial piercing.
Gem Settings
Our jewelry with gems is guaranteed that the stones will not fall out of their settings. Many cheap jewelry companies set their gems with glue which, over time, degrades - causing the gem to fall out of it's setting. Our jewelry is held into the setting by the setting itself. Metal is actually crimped over the edges of the gem to keep it in. Should your gem fall out, you can bring it back to us and we will replace it for free.
Real Gems
All of our gems (with the exception of one which is impossible to find or make naturally) are real, lab-created gems. Cheap jewelry companies often use clear plastic or glass that is cut to look like real gems, which are then are foil-backed with colored foils to give the illusion of genuine gemstones. Here, we have the real deal. That means that your gem won't change color or become "cloudy" over time.
Bargain Shopping VS. Quality
With proper care, your jewelry will last you a lifetime. A one time purchase worth $70 seems like a hefty price but when you consider buying jewelry that is $10 but needs to be replaced every month or two, good jewelry is worth the investment - for your wallet and your body.
The Piercing Experience
At Cape Fear Piercing we have created a warm, relaxing atmosphere - with warm tones, soothing music, and a fountain; we try to make your piercing experience as calming as possible. We understand that you are nervous. We too, have been in your shoes.
Sterilization
We have top of the line sterilization equipment. We use a StatIM 2000. This is a fast and more efficient autoclave that sterilizes everything used in the piercing procedure immediately before your piercing. We even use an indicator strip (which changes color during the sterilization process) to visually prove to you that you are dealing with safe, sterile jewelry and safe, sterile, one-time use needles.
Free-Hand Method
At Cape Fear, we utilize the free-hand piercing method. This means that we pierce without clamps. While some people have shown hesitation about being pierced with this method, we are told time and time again by our clients that the elimination of clamps greatly reduces the discomfort associated with getting a piercing.
Titanium Options
When you choose your initial piercing jewelry at Cape Fear it is titanium 95% of the time. Not only does this mean that you are getting a highly bio-compatible piece of jewelry, but it also gives you many options for the appearance of your jewelry. Using an electric current in a process called anodization, we can change the color of your titanium jewelry by changing the oxide layer of the metal to refract different colors of light (no dyes involved). This is a service that we offer to you at no extra cost.
