What happens when a classic 60’s/70’s vibe collides with indie-alt-rock? Capelle happens. These blokes from London beautifully mix hard rock guitars with urban beats and vibrant vocals. The result is a brilliant new disc entitled Money Now, Money How, Money When. One of the things that we are constantly on the look out for here at Froglix is the “it” factor. However, the “it” factor can be different things to different people. For us it’s talented musicians with a truly unique sound that can translate equally well both in studio and on stage. Nic Capelle (lead vocals) and his compadres (Fotis – lead guitar, Quinton – bass, Kris – drums and Sven – backing vocals and keys) really do pull “it” off smashingly well. In addition to “Looking In A Mirror,” featured in the video above, we have included (2) additional tracks to the global broadcast both “Money” and “So Lonely” can be found as on-demand, play only tracks. While we really dig Capelle, we’d much rather hear what you think.

The CAPELLE sound.
Rooted in an over-driven late 60’s, early 70’s rock vibe, the music draws several influences to create a fresh new sound. There’s hints of hip hop beats, 80’s synth textures, dark emotive lyrics, trashy funk bass lines and a voice that nods to some great singers from the past, but really it’s one of a kind. It’s the hybrid of these sounds that make the offering unique and the unbridled energy on stage that fans come to see.
There are some notable accolades worth mentioning. These include making the Top 11 of the O2 Undiscovered competition in 2006. The music has also been featured on online radio networks including SkinFM, LastFM, slicethepie.com and TripleJ FM Australia.

• We launched www.capelle.co.uk
• We launched our facebook fan page www.facebook.com/capellemusic
• We are in the post production stages of the video clip for ‘You ain’t got ya way’. Which is due for release by October.
• We are in pre-production of the video clip for ‘Money’ which we aim to release in November.
• We are set for the independent release of the single ‘Money’ in November.
• We started shooting a documentary about the band.It is an untitled work in progress, but the basic premise is to capture our journey as a band, trying to make our mark in the changing landscape of the music business.
• We launched CappoTV our Youtube channel where we show our fans what we’re up to. This can be anything from crazy viral animations promoting gigs to one take acoustic versions of our tunes. Check it out at www.capelle.co.uk/cappotv

We are building an underground movement of artists and people who believe in doing something amazing for this generation. We're bored of bland Coldplay/X-Factor/Skinny Jean Indie Boyband culture and we're taking it back into our own hands. We're making fanzines, starting drinking clubs to come up with ideas and drink a bit. We miss the spirit of trying to change the world and do something new instead of playing it safe all the time. We're doing it now. Anyone who wants to contribute to our fanzines or start something up within our movement please get in touch on here. Thanks for reading. Warehouse Republic
