Established in 2005, the legacy has already begun. An institution that serves a purpose for every individual. We are in an era of competitiveness; schools are struggling to keep up with the high demands, constantly regurgitating the same practices and unable to change with the times. The education provided in most schools is so minimal with many using the same texts, structures or cliché practices.
CAPESIDE surpasses the highest of expectations in educating the current, past and future generations; developing well rounded individuals ready to take on the world.

Q: Does anyone actually like this type of music?
A: Are you kidding?!? All the scene kids love it, my jock friends love it, people who love dance music love it, Triple J kids love it - MY MUM even likes it… and she is bitter about everything. If you’re all about being happy, then you will wish that YOU were in CAPESIDE! But you can’t be - so liking it is the closest you’re going to get. Anyone that doesn’t like it, I’ll get a whole football team to beat you up until you do.
Q: Love it guys! What are the other bands you guys are in? Why isn’t Benny in the Getaway Plan anymore?
A: Cripps and Leigh are in Horsell Common, Doobes is from Magentaline and Benny WAS in the Getaway Plan. He isn’t in it anymore because he FOUND the plan, you chump….stupid, stupid, question. Simo is the singer, and really people only care about the singer so shouldn’t you be asking questions about him? He is good looking, amazingly well dressed (another question answered) and YES! He Is Trial Kennedy’s merch guy. Then there is Lisa, the keyboardist. I don’t care if you’re heading towards the other side - shouldn’t you be asking questions on how you can tap her ass? Hot, single girl, who sings like an angel and plays keys VERY fast! Refer back to question 1 - people like CAPESIDE.
Q: Where did you get the band name from?
A: We wanted something catchy and memorable. A cape catches wind as does a mitt. Lisa is allergic to cats so we decided to stay away from mitt and go with Cape . Half of the band wanted another word while the rest didn’t. One screamed at Leigh to take a side, as he is known for fence sitting, and that’s how it was born. Crazy story, funnily enough it’s also a reference from Dawson’s Creek.
Q: Why are you guys assholes to the people who are interested in knowing a few things about the band?
A: Because I’m not in the band! Plus, I pretty much think these guys are going to be massive so they might as well be as arrogant as Fall Out Boy.

followers!! Sorry for the
disappearing act. Maggie cracked her head open during a basement show, so we’ve
been out(no pun intended) for awhile. She is almost better so when that happens
we’ll be back in the recording studio. In the meantime, we did manage to
convince our buddies at myspace.com/onryeproductions to let us do the video
game SFX that are on their newest episode.

Hey Guys, We are after a serious POP/ROCK vocalist that is wanting to really give it all and try to make it happen as a big band. We are after a MALE between 18-26 y/o, We rehearse in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and will send a demo to all serious candidates. Vocal style required would be similar to bands like, Motorace, Eskimo Joe, Kisschasy, The Audition, The Getaway Plan, basically a nice clear, crisp voice.
