About me: The Capital City Outlaws are a semi-pro, 8-8 football team based out of Springfield, Illinois. We play in the 8FL, based primarily out of Central Illinois. Formerly the Springfield Buccaneers, Springfield Statesman and Sangamo Express, the Outlaws organization has been in existance for 20 years. This season will be the fifth for the Outlaws in the 8fl.
The Outlaws consits of former high school and college players. They are coached by Colonel Chris Lawson and Captain Tomas Akers. We play for the love of the game and for each other. We truly are a family. If you are interested in joining, please contact us at any time.
Games are played on Sundays in the spring at 2pm. The first game for the Capital City Outlaws will be March 1st 2009 in the Pekin Dome. Game time is TBA. If you would like to attend please let us know.
