If you follow Iowa politics you know that last time we were awarded the right to get married it was taken away within day's. Only one couple got through with a ceremony. So this time neither of us are taking our chances and we will "OFFICIALLY" be married on Thursday at the Des Moines, Iowa courthouse. But this is not our planned wedding and isn't be any means our wedding of our dreams. We are only doing it so later on when we are ready and finiancally prepared to have our wedding it is what we dream of. None the less it is a historic and momentus day for us so we are planning a BBQ in tribute to all those who have got us here and to all those who can join us in our special day. So please feel free to join us.
We will be grilling out and having a lunch type party during the day. Families invited and friends as well. Then at night we are going to pump up the volume and party like it was 1999! So please join us in celebration. There is no need for gifts or anything else, this is a very laid back affair and it's done in very short notice.

I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D
