Capital D aka Caliente was born Miguel Arce Jr. on January 8 in the city of Manhatten New York with parents that were both born in Puerto Rico.
Early influences were from Shabba Ranks, Supercat,Nicodemus and Dirtsman and todays influences include Sizzla, Capleton,Luciano and Anthony B.
Capital D has performed on events throughout Jamaica such as Rebel Salute,East Fest,Reggae Sunsplash,Reggae Sumfest,Summer Sizzle,St. Mary mi come from,STING,Fanton Mojah earthstrong,Turbulance earthstrong,Reggae Campfire,Reggae Jamjam and has also performed and interviewed on Smile Jamaica as well as Irie FM with Elise Kelly.Capital has also performed on Irie Jamboree as well as performing all around his home base of Connecticut where he resides to this day.
Capital has recorded collaberations alongside Luciano,Anthony B,Ini Kamoze,Jr. Kelly, Tarrus Riley,Rochelle Bradshaw and Paul(Scubi)Smith from Rootz Underground and has worked with producers like Dean Fraser,Richie B.(Hot 102),Jah Snowcone,Firehouse crew ,Island Star,Soljie,9 Sound clik,and ZJ Sparks(D'Wildchild) from Zip fm .
