I am an administrator in the private sector, and publish my own political blog (CapitolAnnex.com), which covers Texas politics. I'm also active in politics and do some political consulting and freelance writing (most recently for the San Antonio Current). I spent five years working for the "MainStream Media," during which time I was awarded the Nancy Monson Award for Excellence in Open Government Reporting from the Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas and the Texas Press Association. My blog has also been nominated for a 2006 Koufax Award.
