一般	Gaining optimal physical fitness through regular practice of capoeira. Improving body awareness and confidence through regular physical exercise. Development of body rhythm and music. Increased spiritual and mental well-being. Development of community and social exchange.
音樂	Capoeira is "played" to traditional music that incorporates African instruments. These instruments include berimbaus, pandeiros (tambourines), atabaque (drum), agogo (cow bell) and songs sung in Brazilian Portuguese. The different musical rhythms determine what the "game" of capoeira will look like.

Dr. LaFayette was a close associate of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. LaFayette has spent conducting nonviolence trainings and setting up centers for peace and nonviolence across the US and around the world. He has worked with gang members in California, prison guards and inmates in Columbia, activists in Israel and Palestine, militia groups in Nigeria, and thousands of other individuals to introduce them to the power of nonviolence. In 2006, Dr. LaFayette initiated a movement to pass the legacy of nonviolence to the youth of today. His visit to Tucson is intended as the first of a multi-phase project to create a youth-led nonviolence training and direct action team for our community.
