Featuring a live recording of the Spencer Davis Group classic "I'm a Man" plus Capri tracks "Putting it all Together" ( live ) and never before released "Speed King" ( live ). Also includes two bonus tracks - remastered versions of "Juke's Groove" and "All in the Mind" which were originally released on the bands debut EP "Earth Songs".
Since their formation in 1996, Capri's commitment and passion for Funk music has given them genuine cult status and a growing reputation as one of the best Funk/Soul bands in the world. Formed in the Yorkshire capital city of Leeds (UK) by Composer/Songwriter Daniel Woodward (1977- ), Capri began quickly to receive recognition amidst a thriving musical backdrop. Known for their ecclectic mix of styles, uncompromising grooves and a serious commitment to the art of songwriting, Capri's unique approach has made them hard to catagorise, sometimes leading to difficulties regarding media pigeonholeing. Their first album 'Boogie Man' was recorded in 2002/3 and released the following year to critical aclaim worldwide. Stand out songs from the album include the single 'Barbarella', 'Real World', 'Into the Sun', and 'Putting it all Together'.
The album also featured classic instrumental tracks such as 'Car chase on Phoenix Avenue' and 'Firebird' both becoming club favourites amongst Funk DJs and Dancers. Capri have also successfully transfered their sound to live performance and will soon be releasing their first live album including new material from their next studio album. Film clips of this remarkable performance will be available on YouTube in the coming months.
