Barry Frishman (Captain Barry to his friends and family) owns a small eco-tourism business on Chincoteague Island Virginia. Barry has served on the Board of Directors for the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce and the Chincoteague Oyster Festival. Additionally, Captain Barry was President of the Chincoteague Charter Boat Association. He volunteers with many organizations including the American Red Cross in both New York City and Virginia specializing in disaster relief. In his early years Barry worked on Broadway in New York as a stage lighting director and worked as a key grip in the motion picture industry. He has served in many disaster areas such as Sri Lanka after the tsunami and Mississippi after Katrina. The Captain is known as a world traveler (off the beaten path) always looking for ways to get acquainted with indigenous people and accommodating their needs in various ways whether installing new plumbing or purchasing a prosthetic leg. Barry is married, the father of three and the grandfather of one and one on the way.

I was thinking about you today. In the new Prevention magazine there is a short blurb about a fellow clean-water advocate....a woman named Mary Chervenak, who is running with the Blue Planet Run. You've probably heard of them, but I found it really interesting. Hope everything is well down your way!
