Don Van Vliet (Captain Beefheart) was born on January 15, 1941.His place of birth was Glendale, California. Don joined the Magic Band in 1965 and quickly became the band's leader. Some of the Magic Band's most genius peices of art include Trout Mask Replica, Safe as Milk, Doc at the Radar Station, the Spotlight Kid, Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller), Ice Cream for Crow, and I may be hungry but I sure ain't weird.

In the year 2012, humanity will prove to itself that its consciousness is indeed in actuality a recorded medium being played back to itself and that the universe is merely a type of gigantic tape recorder that is stuck on auto-reverse. Long ago, before this machine was caught in its never ending loop, we existed as the co-creators of it and its purpose was intended to be the apotheosis of all energy allowing us to play within it for all infinity. Unfortunately, there were inconsistencies with the reproduction of the recording and key components were gradually lost as it was played numerous times, thereby eventually freezing it inside its circular revolution around itself. This realization of the falsity underlying all reality will result in the illusion of the 3 dimension dissolving and humanity will then be able to free itself from the bondage of the decaying tendency of time. Take heed of these words that I hath spoketh onto thee, for they concern the future of all humanity!!!
