Captain Coconut Won the Going.com NYC Band Showcase at the Canal Room!
Thanks to everyone who voted, we came in 4th place in the online voting and were awarded $1000 plus a gig at the Canal Room where we beat the Top 3 (Dice, FMOS and BrotherLove) and won a meeting with Cordless Recordings, an online branch of Warner Brothers Records.

CAPTAIN COCONUT GOT FUNKED UP IN NEW ORLEANS!
On Saturday, April 28th the whole band headed down to the Crescent City to play a night at Rotolo's Restaurant during the first weekend of JazzFest '07. We opened up for our buddy Marc Stone with 2 hours of sizzling hot funk. We had a great time in New Orleans, saw some fantastic music and made lots of new friends.

Hi there!
The New York Mets' website is having a contest for what song should play when David Wright comes to bat for the Mets this season. As you know, I have made a song about Mr. Wright, and wouldn't it be great if that were his song?! COME ON!

Here's what you can do:
1. Go to http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/nym/fan_forum/survey_wrightsong_form.jsp

2. Enter your name, email, phone #, but make sure that the boxes are unchecked so you won't get spam from MLB.

3. Choose "Write-In Suggestion"

4. Type "David Wright -- Sam Davison (www.myspace.com/samdavisonmusic)"
ALWAYS REMEMBER TO TYPE THE WEBSITE.

5. Press "submit."

6. Booyah!

This is totally possible! This could be the SECOND TIME that the Mets feature one of my songs! I need your help to do it, so please vote, and vote often!

Love,
Sam D.
