Sounds Like
Captain Squeeze and the Zydeco Moshers plus influences
In Feb. of '96 there was born a sound from the basement of the least likely of places, the basement of a Cathedral Mardi Gras Party. The sound was spearheaded by a decades-former polka accordion player gone jazz keyboardist and was inspired by an introduction to zydeco by CJ Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band. Ten years later, averaging about seventy shows a year, having performed for thousands of people across the Northeast United States and with a 4th album in the works, Captain Squeeze and the Zydeco Moshers are a musical force to be reckoned with.
We're so cool, My Space doesn't even have Zydeco or Cajun as a genre choice!

ATTN BANDS::: WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING BAND SUBMISSIONS!!!
Such fine sounds! You're right about myspace not listing Cajun or Zydeco as genres - that is a big omission. Johnny went down to the Dewey Balfa Camp last April and came back with a beautiful Cajun accordion so we're attempting to fuse some Cajun sound into our genre blending set. Our first song with the accordion will be posted after the new year. We hope to learn from accomplished folks like you and it's nice that you're in the New York area. Stop by and take a listen to our blues/rock stuff if you get a chance and thanks for the add.
Hi, Thanks for the add!!!! I saw you at the Garlic Fest, you sounded great!!!!! Now that I've got your tour schedule at my fingertips I can make it to more of your shows!!!!!!!!!
