I love to make things ... I have been told at times that I can be a regular Martha Stewart when it comes to making stuff ... lol ... I can make just about anything I see - if I can get a good look at it ... I love to mess around with clay - I make photo jewelry and I like to sew ... I like to sew purses ... and I keep most of them for myself ... I love my knifty knitter too ... I like to make scarves and hats with it ...
My Granny is my biggest hero ... she took care of me while my dad drove a truck to make a living during my childhood ... she quit her job to care for me and raised me ... I love her dearly - she is like a mother to me - I don't know what I will do when she is called Home...
About me:
My name is Angelica Miller...
I am 31 years old and live in the great
Mountains of East Tennessee. I feel like I am so blessed to live in a place where beauty is just outside my front door. While driving down the backroads of what is referred to sometimes as "God's Country" - I find myself choreographing photographs in my head ... in a world where the lens of my camera captures my dreams and I am able to show them to the world.
I am a mother to two boys who inspired me to take on this love of photography - as our children grow so quickly that we want to remember the special times and I thrive on capturing special moments that will serve as treasures for generations to come.
I think photographs are one of a persons
most valuable possessions as they are the
only things that can freeze time. We look
back on photos and remember life's
adventures and blessings.
I have always had a strong passion and love for Photography s... My favorite part besides capturing the photos , is seeing the joy of my clients faces when they see their photos, That is one of the best feelings. To know that I made a difference, that I captured the love and emotion of their occasion.
. I really do not like to think of
myself in the photography business -
instead I like to think that I am in the
business of capturing emotions,
expressions, spirits and phases of life.
My style is very different from the standard "studio" photography because I
shoot mostly outdoors in a natural
setting, where people can relax, be themselves, get comfortable and actually enjoy having their picture made. Instead of feeling like a stiff, posed, unnatural statue. My photos tell a story.
My photography is mostly all done "on-location" this can be in or around your home, at a local park, downtown areas, just about anywhere imaginable. I find that most people are more at ease in an outdoor setting and can be themselves - this makes
beautiful photos and like I said - tells a story sometimes and lets you see the
REAL person - not a posed, dull shot from the studio.
There are many locations in this area to
choose from such as Milligan College,
Covered Bridge in Elizabethton, The
Laurels, and Downtown Jonesborough, Downtown Johnson City, Winged Deer Park, Fishery Park and the Train Tracks in Erwin ... the possiblities are endless.
My website is www.tellingstorieswithphotography.com
Who I'd like to meet: was recently led by a few of my photographer friends to a phenomenal organization called The Littlest Heroes Project.
Basically, this non-profit organization helps photographers meet up with families who have children with life-threatening illnesses. Families choose a photographer in their area and ask them to do a session for them. Photographers donate their time and images and in turn, get to meet some of the bravest human beings on the planet in the process.
I am honored to be part of this wonderful - life changing group. If you or anyone you know has children form newborn to 21 years of age with a life-threatening illness ... that would enjoy a FREE photo session and prints - Please contact me!
