Want to hear me tell you all about myself? I was recently interviewed for the NBC 5 Chicago Street Team podcast. You can hear that 20-minute fascinating, engaging & memorable (okay I may be exaggerating just a bit!) interview HERE.
You can also hear me participate in another interview for the NBC 5 Chicago Streat Team - I, along with Jim Grillo, chat with Alpana Singh (host of "Check, Please" on WTTW and Master Sommolier). Listen HERE (scroll down to the interview). In fact, I am now a member of the NBC5 Street Team - my interviews & blogs will periodically be included HERE.
If you live in Chicago, you've probably heard my voice on the radio. Currently, I am thrilled to be an on air personality at 101.9 WTMX "The Mix". Catch me weekdays 10a-2p and most Saturday mornings 6a-10a. You can see my on air/appearance schedule if you CLICK HERE. If you aren't in Chicago then you can listen online at www.WTMX.com.
If you'd like to see a complete list of radio stations where I've worked, just scroll down this page a bit...
You can hear my killer podcast CARA'S BASEMENT by clicking on an episode (most recent is on top) on the blue player to the left.
My current guest is Fiction Plane (Sting's son is in that band!). You can also hear past interviews with Rik Emmett, Shooting Star, Linkin Park, Lovehammers, Kelly Keagy from Night Ranger, Jimi Jamison from Survivor, JY from Styx, Mick Jones from Foreigner, Stephen Pearcy from RATT, Amy Lee of Evanescence, Peter Himmelman, comedian Dobie Maxwell, songwriting genius Jim Peterik, Tom Gabel from Against Me, metal band Ankla, author/radio genius Rick Kaempfer and more!
You hear my voice whenever you call the Rosemont Theatre or Allstate Arena. Yep, I'm the annoying phone voice. Well, hopefully not TOO annoying. It's also my voice that you hear when you're in the lobby of the Rosemont Theatre buying drinks. If I'm ever at a show, you can always find me in the lobby chiming right along with the recorded message, so it's like hearing it quadrophonically.

Thanks for adding us as your friends, Cara!! Hope you can make it out to a show soon. You are truly DA BOMB, and the Chicago music scene wouldn't be the same without you!! Have a great week!!
Another awesome interview and truly nice clip too, Cara.
At the very least, even with both our baseball teams not doing very much during the playoffs...we can always savor some really great music. I am catching up on some of the interviews from the summer and I cannot wait to see what will be coming up for the rest of 2008.
We've got a show coming up at "The Back Bar" in Janesville, WI (1901 Beloit Ave, Janesville, Wisconsin) on July, 25 2008 So if you'll be in the area we'd love to see you there...The cost is $5 and we're playing with Kicking K8! Its 21+ so bring your ID and be sure to have a beer with us!!
Hey Cara,We all arrive in places at times after falling out of bed, but we just don't all land on the am news. There could be worse places to land... Have a Happy 4th of July! jane
