My hobbies? I like to live and do everything that I, Cara, want to do. I AM MY OWN BOSS. I make my own rules and change them everyday. I like to read. I like to write. I love to cook Chinese food from my Mom's Magic Cookbook. I love to box and run as fast as I can so I feel like I am flying. I like to learn about everything and anything, it does not matter what it is. Most of all I LOVE PEOPLE. Seriously. People fascinate me. I recently went though some hard times and it was the kindness shown to me by people all around me that got me through because I CHOSE to be receptive to it. Strangers on the street, best friends, brothers, Aunts, the lady at the bank, neighbors, the mailman- I'm serious, the human spirit is incredible if you open your heart.
Other hobbies? Star gazing, moon watching, make-up/cosmetics and playing with them, eating breakfast and Italian food with my Aunt Jeanne in her adorable basement apartment, making up stories and games for my niece ans nephew, eating yummy food especially good pizza, driving around my town in the middle of the night chatting with friends, rooftops, beaches, magic moments, passion, good conversation, smart people, interesting people, wacky people, magic smiles and sparkling eyes, playing cards all night long, dancing and letting loose, not caring what anyone thinks, traveling, pure reactions, spur of the moment adventures, and hanging out with my dog Mickey who likes to run and exercise with me.
Take the quiz: What kind of boxer are you? Boxer You are a master of offense and defense. You fight well against sluggers because you are quicker on your feet and with your hands. You take your time to fight and like to find that open shot, you are very cautious but never scared.
Anything beautiful. I like 80's music and 80's love songs of course (like the kind you order from the corny infomercial late at night), romantic R&B ballads, good old school hip hop, God-des and She, i actually like some techno because it reminds me of Long Island but I don't like to admit that, meditation music and Frank Sinatra are relaxing to me.
Films
Mary Poppins, Annie, A Bronx Tale, The Shawshank Redemption, Back to the Future Part 2 haha, Life is Beautiful, Bruce Lee Movies- Enter the Dragon, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, 80's flicks, The Goonies, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Dirty Dancing, ET, etc....corny romantic comedies, anything that features Johnny Depp. BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN.
Television
Seinfeld, Old School Nick at Night, Late Night Cheesy VHI Music Videos....besides that I hate TV and I don't like to waste time watching it- I'd rather live my life than watch someone else's....reality TV gets on my nerves and so do people who obsess over it....if anything I should have my own reality show.
Books
I love to read, I must have read at least two thousand books in my lifetime since I first fell in love at the Queens Library when visiting my Aunt when I was younger....no joke. (The second time I fell in love was at the boxing gym). Anyway I love The Harry Potter series, The Alchemeist, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior, The Da Vinci Code, The Idiots Guide Books (I get them for EVERYTHING), Gone With the Wind, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Peter Pan, Roald Dahl books, I loved Nancy Drew and Sweet Valley books growing up, Shel Siverstein- The Giving Tree and Where the Sidewalk Ends, Ernest Hemingway, Nicholas' Sparks "The Notebook" touched my heart recently, THe Lovely Bones, Native Son, The Cat's Cradle, Amy Tan- The Joy Luck Club and The Kitchen God's Wife, Memoirs of a Geisha, Mark Twain, Huck Finn, Greek Mythology, Romeo and Juliet, science fiction and fantasy, Stardust and The Golden Compass, Dr. Suess, Agatha Christie....the list goes on and on and keeps compiling. I just read "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote, it was the shit to say the least.
Heroes
**My Mother, my father who fought in Vietnam and died for what he believed in, Bruce Lee, my Aunt Jeanne who fights to stay positive like Ward fought Gatti in #1, Hulk Hogan, my younger brother who has been taking care of his wife and two kids since he was seventeen and has done and amazing job of it, great boxers like Paulie Malignaggi, Lucia Rijker, Arturo Gatti, Mani Pacquaio, and Emile Griffith; my insanely imaginative seven year old niece Aria, Andre the Giant, the future me that I intend to become, Martin Luther King Jr., and all the other great fighters I haven't mentioned who know the meaning of heart, sacrifice, and courage.**
***************I idolize Devout followers of Dreams and even more so those who will gracefully let their dreams go for loved ones....like an unselfish mother for her children....or a beautifully dedicated wife or husband....this is what courage is really about in the
end.*******************

About me: ..
..
Hi, I'm Cara C. and I was born about a quarter century ago in a small town in Long Island to two wonderful, insanely beautiful, and strong parents of Chinese and Italian heritage that I am eternally proud of in this world and the next....I now live in Brooklyn and I am learning all about this wonderful exotic new place only 20 miles from home and my little pink bedroom from childhood, but it seems so far away. I had a magical childhood and as excruciatingly exasperating as my life currently is I still must admit I lead a charmed life full of learning experiences and surprises as I slowly learn to see the good side in everything. I'm currently still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do with my life, kinda in the midst of a quarter life crisis. I'm an aspiring actress/novelist and also a make-up artist, promotional spokesmodel, and getting into screenwriting. I have many side interests, including writing freelance for a professional boxing website called Boxingtalk.com. I am also an amateur boxer with 20 fights and the 2005 and 2006 New York Golden Gloves Champion....I may go pro in the future but sometimes I figure I may need my brains for the writing thing and my face for the acting thing but I've also been described as crazy so I'm sure I'll do it eventually. I love the small things in life more than anything and my family is close to my heart including my best friend Jessica and my significant other. I am easily touched by small acts of kindness and witnessing the indiscreet heroisms of everyday life and people....i am easily moved to tears when I see something beautiful which is often....so I may be mistaken for sad but I really just appreciate life very much. I love to travel and plan to do alot more of it in the future....last month I went to Italy, just me and my mother and a map and her quest for knowledge which rubbed off on me- I had a deep love affair with the ghost of Michelangelo in Florence(the great artist of the Cistine Chapel, the statue of David...holy shit you have no idea his art was breathtaking) plus we studied all the other great Renaissance artists....I recently went to Las Vegas with a bunch of boxing friends to just chill, see fights, be coarse, and LIVE after fighting our asses off in Madison Square Garden the night before....I love mystical intriguing places....I went to Europe last summer and saw the South of France, London, Paris, and Scotland and my favorite part of the whole trip was a real castle I found near Scotland and walked six miles through pastures in the middle of the night to reach with a laptop on my back and a blanket as a jacket....I would love to go to Africa on a Safari or to China or Australia next....hoping my journey will take me there and then back again here where I love....for now I am just busting my ass going on auditions, acting in independent films (I just got a part as a Chinese warrior nun! I will die a tragic death in the end plus I have small parts in two other films where I will also be brutally killed in battle, I think its really funny that i have three different deaths this year), dealing with writer's block, boxing competitively, and trying to support myself financially in the meantime....times get tough but all I know is I'm following my heart and letting it lead me to my destiny whatever it may be, hopefully you do the same!

You have a twisted soul! Twisted Souls are never bad, and actually, are a rarity amongst souls. These souls are a little combination of everything, with always a little of their own chaos to add. Twisted Souls are kind, loving, weird, zany, temperamental, and very talented.
They have their own firm opinion, and can at one time be very outspoken and passionate, and the other time shy and feeling insignificant. Twisted Souls have good senses of Humor and other times can be a bore. You can act quite intelligent at one time, and grasp concepts easily, while other times they can find it difficult to understand.
Twisted Souls are always very fun and Kind, and can be party animals. But, if you love someone, youre serious about it, intense, and forever loyal.
Congratulations-the world should have more like you.
I thought with Valentine's Day coming up that would give some of you beautiful fighting ladies a token of my esteem - a nice, moist, tender one right at ya.
