I Did (But I Wouldn't Now) I love reading chick lit, teen lit, any-kind-of-lit books, writing, watching movies, shopping (that's a sport right?), playing tennis and drinking with friends. Somehow, though, I don't think they all mix well together. Don't try Drunk Tennis. It's not good for you. Or Drunk Shopping for that matter. You'll end up buying a lot of spandex for no good reason. But then again, is there ever a good reason to buy spandex?
  • Music

Favs are Franz Ferdinand, Death Cab for Cutie, the Killers, Cake, and Weezer
  • Movies

Wes Anderson movies! The Royal Tennenbaums has to be my favorite. Nearly all Coen Brothers movies, although my favorite is The Big Lebowski.
  • Television

Footballers Wives! I'm an anglophile, admittedly, and this is the best soap on television. Even if it is on BBC America.
  • Books

Mine of course! But I've got lots of favorites. I love anything by David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs. Other favorite authors: Merrill Markoe, Laurie Notaro, and Laura Zigman.

About me:

..

I'm a writer. I've written five books ("I Do (But I Don't)," "Pink Slip Party," "Dixieland Sushi," "I Did (But I Wouldn't Now)," and my latest, "Wuthering High," the first in the Bard Academy series.

Here's what people are saying about Wuthering High:

"Wuthering High is a quick-paced novel with a heroine teen girls will easily relate to....Having read some of Cara Lockwood's earlier titles, I was delighted to review Wuthering High. She infuses this book with sharp wit, solid plot and relatable characters and sets the stage for a series that should be a lot of fun. Fun, fantastic and completely unforgettable!"
--In the Library Reviews

"Cara Lockwood has written a charming fantasy that sends important messages to teens who will understand them because Miranda, using asides, explains them to herself. This reviewer would love to see a sequel to WUTHERING HIGH."
--Harriet Klausner

Who I'd like to meet:

People who like to read! And people who wouldn't mind buying my books. You know, a writer has to eat.
