The band, based in North Lincolnshire, has been writing and performing traditional and original celtic-inspired music since 2001 when a set of chance encounters led them to appreciate the potential of working together.
The band perform and record their music as a labour of love. Whilst drawing on traditional music many of their songs and tunes are original pieces of work, composed by Oakley and Mike Ryan and arranged by John Rawlings.
Below is a rare recording of Cara performing two traditional pieces 'The Coolin' and 'McFadden's' shot at Midsummer Madness 2006 by Mattie Colquhoun. Both songs can be found Cara's fourth CD album - 'The Granary Steps' (2006).
