Welcome to the Cardiff Jazz Festival! Due to popular demand, between the 3rd and 10th of June '08 the second annual celebration of the Cardiff Jazz scene will take place! With the focus on youth and vibrancy, last year was a amazing showcase of not only local musicians but also London, with two touring bands, and Legends, with the album launch of Pianist Keith Tippett's Tapestry on the final night.............................................................

This year sees great local players coming together and joining forces with some of the top players in the UK! Alan Barnes is joining the outstanding Capital City Jazz Orchestra to open the festival. There is an exclusive double bill gig from Jamie Cullum's Trumpeter Rory Simmons Quartet and Dave Stapleton Quintet, And the festival ends with World Class Welsh Pianist Gwilym Simcock in the Lighthouse Project.......................... ......................
Being the cultural capital of Wales and with a long list of venues it has the potential to be one of the largest Jazz festivals in the world! So come along and show your support for one of the fastest growing scenes in the UK.... cjf
