Thanks for visiting The Care Concert myspace page!
We are proud to announce the 3rd annual Care Concert to benefit the Catholic Charities's child abuse prevention programs. The event has been scheduled for Sunday, May 31st, in Fort Worth, Texas at the Long Horn Saloon in the historic stockyards. The lineup includes Phil Pritchett, Max Stalling, Walt Wilkins and Kurt South. The event is incredible as all of the proceeds from the event go directly to service families in need.
Catholic Charities is a non-profit organization founded in 1910. We are people of faith serving all people in need. To date, they have 30 programs that include caring for children, strengthening families, and welcoming the stranger. Last year alone, Catholic Charities provided services to over 80,000 individuals in need, which consists of 1 in every 20 families in Tarrant County. For the last 99 years, the organization has prided itself in its commitment to stewardship, as more than 90 cents of every dollar goes directly to serving those in need. The organization as a whole is service driven, action oriented and community leaders in answering the call to those in need.
Just a quick fact about the community, in Tarrant County alone, there are over 17,000 reports of child abuse and neglect each year. This is a huge problem in our community but we know there are ways to stop the abuse. One solution is to bring awareness of the problem and offer assistance to families in need, which Catholic Charities is committed to do.
