Thanks for visiting The Care Concert myspace page!
We are proud to announce the 2nd Annual CARE Concert event featuring Phil Pritchett and the Full Band! Last year’s concert was so successful thanks to Phil and all the fans that came out to support Catholic Charities that we have decided to make this an annual event. This year’s concert will be at Lola’s Saloon, 2736 West 6th Street, in Fort Worth, TX, on April 25th. The doors open at 8:00 and the tickets are only $10.00. Phil has once again agreed to donate all the proceeds from the concert to the child abuse prevention programs at Catholic Charities! This is truly amazing and we are so grateful. Thank you Phil!
A little of background about this concert and how you can help: April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. It was truly inspiring to see some many young professionals come out last year to support our efforts and impact the community. This year we are once again inviting those of you who are fans of local Texas Country/Rock and Roll music to come out and join us for an evening of live music and fun!
Just a quick fact, in Tarrant County alone, there are over 17,000 reports of child abuse and neglect each year. This is a huge problem in our community but there are ways to stop the abuse. One solution is to bring awareness of the problem and offer assistance to families in need! Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life and have a blast at the same time!
If you are a Young Professional in Tarrant County we are looking for you! This is your chance to change the lives of thousands of children who have or will experience child abuse during their young lives. Catholic Charities is looking to involve the support of Young Professionals in our community through efforts such as the CARE concert. Why Young Professionals? Because as the future leaders in our community you have the ability to make a difference with your influence, creativity, and energy.
A little bit about us, Catholic Charities is a non-profit organization serving children, families, elderly, refugees and immigrants since 1910 in the diocese of Fort Worth, regardless of their faith traditions. Catholic Charities served over 112,000 individuals last year, with 1 in every 6 of those served being a child. More than 90 cents of every dollar goes directly to those in need. Our Child Abuse Prevention Programs have experienced tremendous success in providing the support and encouragement that families need to ensure that their children do not become one of the statistics. Thank you once again to Phil Pritchett for his continued support of Catholic Charities! We look forward to seeing everyone at the 2nd Annual CARE Concert!
This is such an awesome idea!! I can't wait to be a part of it. Working with kids who are abused, I really appreciate the awareness this will spread and the funds it will raise for the kiddos...well done! The womens center will def. be supporting :)
