Supporting my career coaching clients, helping people to have the self confidence to achieve their dreams, spending time in the country so I can feel the fresh air on my skin and be peaceful, getting fit, going to see bands and listening to music, technology (I’ve always been an early adopter) good food and wine, responsible travel especially travel around India. I care about climate change and traded in my sports car for a Citroen C1.
Almost forgot, I'm creative but not very good at art, so love to come up with ideas and also to take photographs, even had one published in the Gloucestershire Echo recently.

I love music, always have, and at 17 used to hang out at The Marquee Club.
Currently listening to The Levellers, Oysterband, 3 Daft Monkeys, Steve Knightley, Tim Buckley, Jeff Buckley, David Gilmour, Pink Floyd, Modest Mouse, Kaiser Chiefs, Underworld, Chmical Brothers, Transgolobal Underground, Johnny Cash, Robbie Robertson, Gossip and many more – Recently got into dance music - what took me so long ...

Television
Don't watch much by do like Science Fiction, loved the 70s series Survivors, Dr Who, Torchwood, Coronation Street, The Apprentice, Dragons Den.
Books
I mainly read personal development and career books to help me in my work, and The New Statesman for current affairs. I’d love to have more time to read novels but this is mainly on holidays.
This sounds so boring, I've read some great books From Autobiography of a Yogi and Siddhartha through to Death of Grass and Chocolate, The Corrections.
About me:
My name's Denise Taylor and I'm a caring and supportive career guide. I work with students, graduates and professional who seek to find career satisfaction through personal understanding so they can play to their strengths and also have practical help to find a new job. I've been running my own business since 1998 and you can read
more on my website or blog:
In brief I’m a chartered occupational
psychologist and a specialist career counsellor. I’ve successfully worked one to
one with 896 people (at the last count!) helping them to find career
satisfaction through personal understanding so they can play to their strengths
and also have practical help to find a new job.
Prior to that I climbed the career ladder within the Post Office – I was
successful, thought I’d achieved fantastic career success and then one day
realised I’d climbed up the wrong ladder!
So I took a year out and now spend most of my business time working with personal
clients. I help graduates and professionals to identify and then get the
job that is perfect for them and also help graduates and professionals to
achieve their goals. I love working with creative people - artists and
musicians, probably because I'm creative but alas with no musical talent.
I love the work I do; I get
great results, and great feedback!
I aim to have some balance in my life and my
interests include getting fit, walks in the country, music where I can dance and
cooking real food. See my favourite bands over on the list on the left.
By the way, I live in
Tewkesbury, near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. It’s a small market town, famous
for its Abbey and the Medieval Festival.
