    Careo began during the summer of 2005 and released their first EP "This Place Needs Something" in October 2006. A combination of former members of Mending Point and Down to Earth Approach, the band pulls from a combination of its raw indie rock roots while intentionally writing songs that hit hard lyrically and musically. The bands' first full length concept album called "Liars" will be released October 19th 2010 and is the result of a year of hard work and intense writing sessions. Careo's goal is to give people a listening experience much like the days of old when albums were albums and were meant to be enjoyed song by song, telling a story.

Careo is, and always will be a band comprised of extremely good friends.

This marks the 3rd band that John and Justin have played in together. Justin, John, and Brennan have been friends for the last decade. After the disheartening breakup of the last band J and J were a part of , John and Brennan (Careo`s two guitarists) started writing material. With no defined goal in place Justin joined them and began writing a CD`s worth of songs.

The end of the summer of 2005 Brandon moved to Batavia from SC. Brandon`s passionate drumming serves to compliment and inspire the playing of Careo`s string section.

Slow but steady progress has marked the last year for Careo. October 31st, 2006 will see the release of their debut EP called "This Place Needs Something". Meanwhile the band is continuing to write material for their first full length project all the while continuing to grow musically as well as relationally.
