As in any art form, the history of cinema contains many works that are, for whatever reason, overlooked and underrated. Tod Browning's The Unknown (1927) is definitely one of these works, and it is, without hesitation, a modern masterpiece for the current century. This is a delirious, outrageous, chilling, genuinely disturbing and haunting melodrama and is what cinema should be all about: a suspension of belief in the face of a story that defies all logic yet rings true to the deeper human emotions. This film is a truly horrifying film that takes us into the darkest recesses of the human psyche. All of the characters are simple beings who are driven by their emotions: the circus owner bullies, the hunky strongman loves, the attractive Nanon lives in fear, and Alonso oscillates between obsession and hatred. Browning displays originality in storytelling that remains fresh even after 100 years of cinema clichés. He builds the various narrative strands into a taut work that resonates from the impact of its elements creating an emotionally powerful experience.
CAREY BREARS says - Well... you know... it's like I was saying, but really, not saying anything at all. Know what I'm saying?
OTIS YOUNG has played various styles of music ranging from alternative “ Nicole Lischka” to country “ Red Hot Burritos.” He is excited to play in a group that blends these many genres to which he brings predominately a blues style, adopted from “ Mill Street Blues and Gotham City Blues Band,” to the mix.
GLEN FREEMAN plays bass as though it were natural to him, which has never been further from the truth, his years of experience with such bands as the “Red Hot Burritos, Maurice Libby, Sheila Deck and Ronnie Prophet” has made him to be a seasoned professional. His tight, rhythmic progressions is the glue that holds this trio together

Re: Word of the Week
WORD OF THE WEEK (5/21-5/28) IS: "FLOW"
1. The availability, access and movement of ideas and thoughts, both within an individual and between individuals.
2. A sense of effortless mastery one feels in moments that stand out as special. Some refer to it as 'being in the zone'.
3. The movement of energy, material, or information from one place to another.
4. To be abundantly present; "The champagne flowed at the wedding"
5. The motion characteristic of fluids
Love and Respect from Camp G. Have a great week. - Keepin' the music and words flowin' for you, Jake Glasgow (Mister G)
