British-born Carina Round, has earned tremendous respect from fans, critics and the artistic community alike for both her distinctive, yet versatile vocal style and her songwriting prowess which takes the listener on a journey within each and every tune. Seductive and haunting one moment and intriguing and intense the next, she runs the gamut from howling siren, to the performer of ethereal confessional tales, as she dismantles the concept of musical tags by abruptly reinventing herself from song to song.
After recording and releasing her debut LP, ‘The First Blood Mystery’, and releasing two full-length albums on Interscope, ‘The Disconnection’ (released previously on Carina's own label) and ‘Slow Motion Addict’, Round delivers a slightly different vision of herself. On her newest self-released digital EP 'Things You Should Know' due out May 12th, 2009 (featuring collaborations with UK artist Gary Go and Vega4's Johnny McDaid) Carina used her new freedom to find her most compelling voice yet.
For those of you who have yet to witness Carina Round live, prepare to swoon. Her critically lauded performances are nothing short of spectacular, often being referred to as a “fiery siren” as well as empowered and charismatic. She's shared stages with Annie Lennox, Ryan Adams, Elbow, The Gutter Twins, Snow Patrol, Miles Hunt (The Wonder Stuff), Mark Eitzel, and even James Brown among others. She arrives well equipped for any stage.

Saturday in Portland, OR rocked my socks off. I loved that you were singing with Maynard. Please, for the love of all things, come back to Portland! I so badly wish to hear your songs live.
Rev 22:22 was the shit. I'm so happy that you sang that solo.
Been listening to (and loving) the Early Winters songs on myspace... anywhere I can buy the EP from? Ideally a physical copy, but mp3s would do if not. Looking forward to your next release, I still have Things You Should Know and SMA on very regular rotation on my ipod! T
