Caritas Clothing derives its name from the latin word Caritas. Caritas is the latin word for the purest form of love, specifically it means an unlimited loving-kindness to all others. It is a selfless love, self sacrificing even. In 1 John 4:16, John says "God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him." The beginning of the verse translates to Deus Caritas Es (God is Love). This is reason for our existence. There are so many people with so little, while we have so much to give. Whether through our money, or our time. We do not plan on saving the world, but if Caritas Clothing can help even just one person then it was all for good. This is more important to us than profit or fame. We do this not of our own thought but because of the example that was set for us by Jesus Christ when he gave everything he had for us. Every T-shirt is a walking billboard, and we choose to use that as our canvas to raise awareness and promote love, while letting people conciously choose a clothing brand that stands for something other than just money, and lets them help others in a way they might not have done before. We don't want to be a part of a trend but part of a lifestyle that promotes love for others, and hope for those who have none.

[5]art and three04 encourage you to submit artwork for this fundraiser for the Historic Santaella Cigar Factory, an Artist-Friendly venue in Tampa, FL. This Salon-Style exhibition, hosted in Gallery 209, is devoted to the promotion and improvement of this alternative art venue and the celebration of Tampa's art community. This call for submissions is open to all artists working in any 2D media. This one night event will be held on Friday, November 7, 2008,from 6pm till 10PM in Gallery 209. There is a suggested donation of $5 at the door (Remember it's a fundraiser!) for a night of art and camaraderie in the art community. Proceeds will go to the Ellis -VanPelt family for improvements planned for their Old Santaella Cigar Factory at 1906 North Armenia Avenue.
