My influences are:
Evanscence, Pink, Kelly clarkson, Sarah Mclachlan, Avril Lavigne etc...
I love to sing their songs in local competitions as their type of music suits my voice and vocal range the most.
Mainly Evanescence and Pink influence me most as its a mixture of their music that I would love to create as a singer/songwriter.
Galway, Ireland’s 26 year old singer/songwriter, Carla Merrigan knew at an early age that she was destined to become a recording artist. Entertaining family and friends since she was 8 years old, Carla is a natural in front of an audience. Her velvety smooth yet edgy voice has been compared to the likes of Pink and Evanescence but she is truly an original artist.
Carla is currently writing songs with Los Angeles hit songwriter, Penny Framstad and recording songs for her upcoming debut release titled, Paranoia Stripped scheduled to be released in the fall of 2009/2010.
Carla performed in the National Universtiy of Ireland’s choral society which performed throughout Europe and was often the featured soloist. Her performance was spotlighted on Ireland’s public television station, TG4 where she received rave reviews.
As a finalist in Galway’s West Star Singing Competition, Carla competed against some of Irelands most celebrated and talented singers. Her performance in another local Singing Competition QFactor earned her a glowing review in Galway’s City Tribune.
Merrigan has twice attended the prestigious Seth Rigg’s Speech Level Singing 10 day camp in Hollywood, CA where she was chosen to perform in front of some of music industry’s most influential players.

Its been a while and we thought it was about time we updated you on what we've been up to. Our debut EP Little World is now available at our gigs and will soon be available from our myspace and facebook pages, you will also be able to download it from itunes, but we don't have a release date for this as yet.
To celebrate the fact that we have now reached 25,000 plays on myspace, we are giving you a free MP3 of Rockabye Baby. All you have to do is send your email address to queen.elvis@yahoo.ie and we will send it to you.
We have spent the last year rehearsing with a full band and are now ready to bring it on the road. You can get a look at us when we appear on Balcony TV this week with the full line up. We are currently taking bookings for gigs/concerts/festivals and can be contacted on the email above, or through our myspace and facebook pages.
