Many great things in this world go through the process of re-branding. ‘Joy Divison’ became ‘New Order’, ‘Marathon’ became ‘Snickers’ and ‘Elvis’ became Shakin' Stevens’. Not content with creating yet another musical genre, the artists formally known as ‘He Of Fidget Or Shet’ have decided on re-naming themselves ‘Fizzy Pop’. It’s also a way to differentiate between the tribute acts- ‘He Of Fidget Are Shit’ and ‘Bilge Pump’. The last 12 months have seen the Shet record their worst album to date, resulting in Terry Perkins moving to Australia and Derek Perkins moving bedroom. To celebrate the new branding, ‘Fizzy Pop’ will release an album of brand new material (in 2012) and will not play a series of live gigs. The band will continue to make great music under their new moniker and would like to fan their fan (Mr. A. Brookes, Cheltnam) for his continued support. All our love, Terry, Derek and Kenny Perkins.
