The Sound
Billy Cartee...banjo picker and world class hellion. Thought about naming me Sue but later changed his mind.
Ed Hamrick...quartet tenor from the good old days. Had his own radio show with a sponsor and live piano player. A fine grandfather as well. Winona Hamrick...made me summer tomato sandwiches and played the organ better than any grandma. Phil Roark...my mom's cousin, gave me a room full of music gear when I was 14, told me to make the most of it...a month later he died. Bill Sanders from Greenville, SC...inspired me to play fingerstyle guitar and finally, Walter Smith...played bass and led music at my childhood church, showed me patience and trust.
I am... married to Heather. The brother of Karen, son of Billy and Linda. A professional songwriter. A nerd. A lover of the band Journey. Frustrating to my in-laws. A guitar player. A dreamer. A leader. Someone who needs alone time. Loving The Amazing Race reality TV show. Fascinated by Dolly Parton (she’s a songwriter who has her own theme park...astounding). Blessed with more good friends than I deserve. A loud talker. Not interested in slowing down. Inspired by blind faith. Encouraged by losers who win. A ninja. A lover of chips and good salsa. Not good at Halo, better at Pong. Wishing I could afford a Dr.Z amp. Hot natured, funny to my wife, good with words, bad with numbers. Overcoming evil with good, trying to finish strong... and finally, a worshipper and follower of Jesus Christ. I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V4.1

"And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
