About me:

Hi, i,m Ian Bell, i would like to tell you about my life in the rock n roll industry. My first band was a rockabilly out-fit called THE CRESTAS, The line-up was me, Dave (bluearms)Ward and Pete (robot) johnson, we were on the south east circuit for around 2 years. This was followed by "ONE OCLOCK JUMP" A lively trio with Dave (bebop)begent on the slap bass and Darren (beast)green on the snare, we played all over the south east and London for 2-3 years kicking up a pretty fierce storm. This was followed by the legendary Nobby and The Balloon Pilots, seeing the groupation of three master rockabilly musicians, Ian(plug)Bell, Tony(slapper) Nihill and last but by no meens least Darren (the beast)Green, arguably the most aggressive drummer the planet Earth has ever seen. we created a fever never seen before or since for that matter. We had the ability to whip a crowd into an uncontrollable. FRENZY. WE CAME SO CLOSE TO MAJOR STARDOM IT WAS TERRIFYING, this was to be the destruction of the Balloon Pilots. Would i change the past? NEVER.. I am now living in Madrid Spain and i am looking to form a crazy maniac rockabilly tri, so if you drum or you slap get in contact soon. time wasters will not be tolerated. ROCK ON!!!I later trained my talents in the blues field for a while earning respect from the fans and fellow musicians with bands such as, Wipe out, The Bell Boys and a little later the beule, brothers. i wanted a change and this came about when Alter Ego was formed with me, Ian Harris(drums) Yan Sears(guitar/keyboards) Niel Williams(killer lead guitar) and Andy neal(my drinking partner) we took the metal scene by storm winning the battle of the bands final at Margates Winter Gardens and recording several albums.But it was always going to finish with my first love (rock n roll9 which brings me to today, i am looking to start up a band in Madrid with a little interest so far but i will keep you posted. Watch this space!!!
